Wedding Season has Arrived!

I'm going to let the pics do the talking.  Basically I spent 2 weeks back in MD for two weddings and some time to catch up with family and friends.  I had a great time and managed to break a rib wakeboarding.  Since being back in PDX it has been work, work, and more work.  Things are busy at work!  I've also been healing up from the broken rib and just trying to get caught up on life.
(Justin's Bachelor party.  A fun day out on the water with good friends.  I got a sweet surf session in, having a long enough ride to catch, crack, and finish a beer.)
(Julie and I at Justin & Sarah's wedding.)
(The bridal party having some fun for the cameras.)
(The groom and groomsmen lookin' sharp.)
(The bridal party.  A realy low key and enjoyable ceremony held on the Miller's farm.)
(Enjoying the long walk to the alter.)
(Justin awaiting his bride.  A good friend, Frank, officiated the wedding with the assistance of his amazing wife Noreen.)
(Brook, Lauren, Lauren, Three, and Cory enjoy the post ceremony meal.)
(This is the amazing photo backdrop that Julie created for the photo gust book at the reception the day after the ceremony at Sarah's parent's house.)
(Julie and the crew looking good at the ceremony.  It was really good getting to catch up with everyone.)
(MD overlook of Great Falls.  Sadly the river level was a bit high for any falls runs.  This place really does feel like home to me.  I miss having the Falls as my playground.)
(This is upper center chute ledge on the Potomac.  I showed up for the Chute-Out, a local low key rodeo event held each month during the summer, and won!)
(The family cleaning out my grandmothers house with a yardsale.  Finding good homes for the many things my grandmother collected over the years is a tough job.  She is also greatly missed every day.)
(Justin throwing a tantrum in Salt Peter Creek behind the Edelstein's boat.)
(Me enjoying some hangtime.)
(Justin driving with Rob ready for another pull.)
(Got out on Justin's boat all day on the Sunday before Memorial day.  Got a great wake surfing session in with Justin and Dave.)
(Trying the patented kayak surf style:))
(I felt like a kid that just found the best toy ever.  Smiling from ear to ear and just goofing off behind the boat.)
(I got some great surfs in.  All wakesurf photos of me shot by Dave.)
(After the morning wake boarding session with Justin, Dave, and Julie and the wake surfing session with Justin and Dave we refueled and picked up Sarah for the trip across the bay to Fairly Creek.  We met up with Nate and his 48' hatteras named Aquilo along with a big crew from the Baltimore City Yacht Club.)
(Justin's boat tied up to the stern of Aquila in Fairly Creek.  We used the "little" boat to take people wakeboarding, skiing, and slolam skiing.  The Edelsteins had also come over with their boat and I got an amazing ride where I managed to break a rib on my third 360 of one of my best rides ever.)
(The huge volume of boats in Fairly Creek on a big sunny holiday weekend.)
(Aquila sliding through the tiny channel comming out of Fairly Creek.  Photo: Justin Miller)
(Memorial Day was Diana Borsetti's wedding, Julie's sister.  It was an amazingly beatiful wedding on the bay south of Annapolis.  My cousin Jay, chillin' in the white shirt, also was the videographer.)
(The lovely Borsetti ladies; Rebecca, Debbie, Diana, and Julie.)
(Pappa Ray giving his daughter a good luck kiss.)
(Denver on the flight home.  There aren't really any direct ways to get from PDX to Baltimore.)

Spring Has Arrived in OR!

(It's official!  Julie's Graduate Degree displayed prominently in our apartment with her puppets.)

Not a lot to say in this post.  I'll let the photos do most of the work.  Been working hard at Next and trying to get out and play hard on my few days off.  Julie had a great trip to Cali to visit some friends and is now back with her family in MD.  Her sisters wedding is two weeks away and her parents are really enjoying her being home.  She is going to stay in MD for the summer and teach windsurfing at Ultimate Watersports.
(Seagulls surfing the swell just north of Seaside on the OR coast.)
(It was fun driving right out onto the beach for miles and miles.)
(We rigged up right next to the car and a few feet from the water.)
(My new kite friend Dan enjoying the 25+ mph breeze on a 9m kite.  I had my hands full on my 12m kite!)
(Dan giving land boarding a try.)
(Dan again using a Mountain Board and his 7m kite to go quite fast!)
(Me giving the land boarding thing a try.)
(It was fun, but really easy to crash as well.  I think I'll stick to the water sports.)
(Took a really cool new demo kayak out for a spin as well.  Very fun boat in the surf!)
(Got a run on the Sandy River Gorge with Brian.  Check out his blog about this trip and the MANY photos he took of me.)
(The amazing places you can only get by kayak amaze me everyday.)
(Brian posing for a photo with a small waterfall falling into the gorge.)
(Brian charging the lip of a small boof.)
(One of the many "easy" but consequential rapids in the Sandy River Gorge.)
(Brian in the final rapid of the run.)
(Tony Zanetti having fun during the impromptu rodeo that I organized at Bob's Hole during the Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival this past weekend.)
(Luke dropping in on the ramp during competition.  This is the ramp that broke my back last year.  This year I was the head judge, and the ramp was smaller with less of a kicker at the bottom.)
(The ramp gave up plenty of air!)
(Me getting to give out sweet prizes for the winners of the kayak events.)
(Giving Luke a handshake instead of a prize, even though he did quite well in almost all the competitions.)
(Next sponsors a huge free BBQ at the festival and this year was no exception.)
(Deek, my boss, and his son, Carver, enjoying the BBQ.)
